[edit] History

The airline was founded in 1998 as Mokulele Flight Service by Kawehi Inaba, and was the first airline in Hawaii to be founded by a Native Hawaiian woman. In 2005 it was acquired by Boyer Industries LLC, headed by William Boyer, who became the airline's CEO. In September 2006, it announced a code sharing agreement with Mesa Air Group to fly on behalf of its go! division.

At the time the agreement with Mesa was announced, the airline operated five Piper Chieftain aircraft, which seat eight passengers. The aircraft have since been sold and the airline has purchased two Cessna 208B Grand Caravan aircraft, with seating for nine passengers, and has options to purchase an additional seven in 2007.
