Mohammed Nour al-Din Saffi (Arabic: محمد نورالدين صافي) is an employee of Air New Zealand and the stepson of Saddam Hussein, the former President of Iraq and its airline. Saffi left Iraq after the Gulf War. In April 2002 he was briefly detained by United States authorities after attending flight training refresher courses in the US while on a tourist visa. Saffi was released when it became apparent that he posed no threat.
