Mohammad Zeki Mahjoub

Mohammed Zeki Mahjoub is an Egyptian citizen who first arrived in Canada in 1995. He gained refugee status in 1996, and lived in the city of Scarborough until May 2000, when he was arrested on a security certificate for alleged ties to the Egyptian group Al Jihad. Since his arrest he has been held in jail, and is currently the longest serving detainee of the certificate legislation.
