Mogalthur

Mogalthuru is the largest village in West Godavari District, situated just 10 km from Narasapur, in Andhra Pradesh. Major points of attraction are a fort, which is occupied by a descendant of an ancient Zamindar. This village is renowned for the coir industry.
The former rulers of Mogaltur state are the Kalidindi clan and the son of the last king of mogaltur Sri Raja Kalidindi Kumar Vekateshwara Raja Bahadur is 97 years old and still alive. The family of the erstwhile kingdom are still living in Mogaltur Fort. The most prominent among them are Sri Raja Kalidindi Devi Prasad Varaha Venkat Surya Narayan Kumar Laxmikant Raja Bajadur (83) and Sri Raja Kalidindi Kumar Rama Raja Bahadur (73).
The Mogaltur Dynasty expands to West Godavari and parts of Krishna District. It had ten forts in total. The biggest of all the forts which has survived the ravages of time is the Mogaltur Fort. It is a mud fort having a width of thirty feet.

[Chiranjeevi], the Megastar of Tollywood today, was born on 22 Aug 1955 to sri Venkat Rao and Anjana Devi. He grew up in his native village with his grand parents, while his family was else where because of his father's occupation. The sense of descipline and hard work which he still embraces were introduced at a very young age in his life and the tough childhood he had being the eldest in his family have helped him to handle many such events of higher proportion with great expertise in the later stages of his life. After graduation, Chiranjeevi moved to Madras to seek a career in his chosen field of acting in the Film Industry. Above all, on Oct 02 1998 he started Chiranjeevi Eye & Blood Bank and Charitable Trust to give back to the people whatever he could on the humanitarian ground thus demonstrating a new dimension in his personality.
