Kimber Lanning founded the space in 1998 as a cooperative, with day-to-day operations handled by Scott Tennant. Leslie Barton took over in 2001.[1].
Modified holds concerts by local and national touring bands and is a stop in the city's First Friday Art Walk program.
Modified has been featured in Phoenix New Times and the Arizona Republic.
