This article is about fictional operating systems (OS) from the Cosmic Era of the anime Gundam metaseries.

In the context of Mobile Suit Gundam SEED and Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny, there are six Mobile Operating Systems (MOS) depicted in the story. These are neural-net computer operating systems designed to operate mobile suits with high efficiency. The OS used in mass-production mobile suits are not depicted in the story.

These operating systems were created by the Earth Alliance.

[edit] G Project (G.U.N.D.A.M Synthesis System)

This was the first OS created, and was used for the Atlantic Federation's G Project. The GAT-X102 Duel, GAT-X103 Buster, GAT-X105 Strike, GAT-X207 Blitz, and GAT-X303 Aegis used this OS. As originally implemented, the G.U.N.D.A.M Synthesis System was incomplete and can only be used clumsily by Natural pilots. Kira Yamato completed and corrected the system by early June CE 71 using the combat data from his personally customized G.U.N.D.A.M Synthesis system on the Strike. It is possible, though unconfirmed, that Earth Alliance and Orb mass-production mobile suits use a variant of the G.U.N.D.A.M Synthesis System that is refined for use by Natural pilots. It is also used by the GAT-X105E Strike Noir, and possibly used by the GAT-X1022 Blu Duel and GAT-X103AP Verde Buster.

These operating systems were created by ZAFT. These were created based on the OS of the G Projects.

[edit] Nuclear Fission Powered (G.U.N.D.A.M Complex)

This was the first OS's created by ZAFT. Mobile Suits with this OS were equipped with Neutron Jammer Cancellers and an ultracompact nuclear fission reactor. The ZGMF-X09A Justice, ZGMF-X10A Freedom, ZGMF-X11A Regenerate, ZGMF-X12A Testament, and ZGMF-X13A Providence use this OS, which was first tested in the YMF-X000A Dreadnought. In CE 74, the new ZGMF-X19A Infinite Justice and the ZGMF-X20A Strike Freedom built by the Clyne Faction use an updated version of this OS. However, the Strike Freedom and Infinite Justice use a Hyper-Deuterion nuclear reactor as the power core. The Martian GSF-YAM01 Δ Astray also uses this operating system, though it is unclear how the G.U.N.D.A.M Complex system and its associated N-Jammer Canceller were acquired.
