Mnemic (pronounced 'ne-mik') is a Danish/French metal band.
They play their own type of genre-defying music which they call "Future Fusion Metal" (which can be described as industrial metal reminiscent in Fear Factory's "Demanufacture" album with Meshuggah-influenced polyrhythmic song structures, although the term polyrhythm is used loosely in this context as their use of rhythm is more convoluted than this term implies).
Their former singer, Michael Bøgballe, left in September of 2005. Ex-Transport League singer Tony Jelencovich stepped in to fill his shoes on Mnemic's US tour supporting Meshuggah, but on April 17, 2006, it was announced that Jelencovich would no longer be singing for Mnemic. Michael's permanent replacement was later confirmed to be Guillaume Bideau, formerly of the French band Scarve.
They have now completed their third studio album "Passenger", which will be released in Europe on February 2 and in North America on February 6, 2007.
