Michael Kushnir was born December 16, 1983 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. He shares his birthday with Ludwig von Beethoven, Jane Austen and Sir Arthur C. Clarke, as well as the Boston Tea Party.

Having grown up on the affluent North Shore, Michael slowly developed a passionate hatred for all things bourgeois. As a result, and much to the chagrin of his father, Gary, he is a member of the New Democratic Party. Michael moved out of his parents' house in 2002 to live in residence during his (relatively) short stint at the University of British Columbia. While living in close contact with 150 other guys was quite the experience, he has little desire to move back to such communal living. He now lives in Chinatown and works at Celebrities, a nightclub in the gay village.

Michael speaks fluent English and French as well as passable Spanish (or passable Castillano as he's been told). He would love to learn to speak Nederlands, but finds this a challenge, as few people in Vancouver speak it.

Michael has travelled in Europe, North Africa and North America and would love to go back. However, he is poor and requires either time to replenish his "travel fund" or a wealthy sponsor. Countries visited (in order of first trip) include:
