[edit] Rationale

Purpose and character It is an adaption, not exactly the same model and certainly not drawn to replace the diagram on page 2-4 of the Btrieve manual. It is designed to show how the Btrieve MKDE works in server mode
Nature of the copied work The diagram is a representation of a fact: the way that the Btrieve MKDE server interacts with the Btrieve client.
Amount and substantiality The amount of work shown here is small. Not only is it adapted (and not a straight copy), but it only shows a small part of the manual, and only then to illustrate how Btrieve client/server works.
Effect upon work's value This image was originally in the Btrieve manual. There should be no impact on the original work, as programmers and sysadmins will still need to consult this material to get Btrieve 6.5 working. Also, Btrieve 6.5 is no longer being sold, and the manual is freely downloadable from the Btrieve website.
