Miyu Irino

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Miyu Irino (入野自由 Irino Miyu?), born February 19, 1988) is a seiyū (voice actor) who was born in Tokyo. He is also part of the Himawari Theatre Group Inc.

Coincidentally, different characters he's voiced have gone through similar situations. In Tsubasa Chronicle, he voices Syaoran, in which his goal is to collect feathers of Sakura's memories. In DN Angel, he plays Daisuke Niwa, who at one point in Volume 5 has to collect Dark's memories in the form of feathers to save his life.

In the Kingdom Hearts series, Miyu Irino voices Sora who travels to various "alternate" (Storyline-wise) Disney worlds with two companions, Donald Duck and Goofy. Syaoran in Tsubasa Chronicle also crosses over various (truly) alternate CLAMP worlds with two other companions, Fai and Kurogane.

In a coincidental stroke, while Haley Joel Osment voices Sora in the English versions of the Kingdom Hearts series, the reverse is applied when Irino voiced the young protagonist (played by Osment) in the Japanese dub of The Sixth Sense, as well as Eric Stall (again played by guest star Haley Joel Osment) in Ally McBeal.

Irino, like most seiyuu, also sings various anime character image songs. He has sung 'Kaze Ni Naritai' for the anime DN Angel, 'GO!!' (as Sena) for Eyeshield 21, 'Kizuna' (as Syaoran) for Tsubasa Chronicle, and also has sung a duet with Yui Makino (Princess Sakura), titled 'Yume no Tsubasa' for the Tsubasa Chronicle Drama CD 3.
