Mitsui Centennial (elm cultivar)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Japanese Elm U. davidiana var. japonica cultivar Mitsui Centennial is a tough, cold-resistant selection from Canada, raised in the 1980s. It is represented in Europe by a specimen at the Sir Harold Hillier Gardens in Hampshire, England, where it has grown strongly in a sheltered location on London Clay. It is resistant to Dutch elm disease and elm leaf beetle.
