Mitsuhoney (ミツハニー Mitsuhanī?) are one of the 493 fictional species of Pokémon creatures from the multi-billion-dollar[1] Pokémon media franchise – a series of video games, anime, manga, books, trading cards and other media created by Satoshi Tajiri. Mitsuhoney is famous for being one of the Pokémon revealed before the Japanese release of Pokémon Diamond and Pearl. The purpose of Mitsuhoney in the games, anime and manga, as with all other Pokémon, is to battle both wild Pokémon, untamed creatures encountered while the player passes through various environments, and tamed Pokémon owned by Pokémon trainers. [2]
Its name may derive from 三つ (mittsu, three), referring to the number of its honeycomb-like features, or from 蜜 (mitsu, honey). ハニー (hanī) comes from the English word honey.

[edit] Biological Characteristics
Mitsuhoney's appearance is based on a honeycomb and a honeybee merged together. Only female Mitsuhoney can evolve, much like how only female bees can become queens. The appearance of Mitsuhoney is that of three yellow hexagons connected to each other in a formation similar to that of a Magneton, only upside-down. Each hexagon has a face with two little black eyes and a tiny mouth. The two top hexagons each have one antenna and one wing, while the bottom hexagon has two little feet and a small tail, similar to an abdomen. The lower face of a female bears a red triangle on the forehead and a smiling expression, indicative of its evolution into a Beequeen.
[edit] In the video games
Mitsuhoney is one of 107 Pokémon that were introduced in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl.
Mitsuhoney has a unique ability, Honey Collect, that allows it to find Sweet Honey after battle. Sweet Honey is an item that can be placed in trees; the day after Sweet Honey is placed in a tree, the tree will be shaking and have a wild Pokémon within that can be battled. This is the only way to obtain Mitsuhoney other than breeding.
Mitsuhoney's movepool is limited to Sweet Scent and Gust.
