From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Mitsubishi 4G4x engine is a series of iron-block straight-4 engines built by Mitsubishi Motors from 1971 to 1979. They are notable for only having an alphanumeric identifier, whereas other Mitsubishi powerplants of this era were given names: 'Orion' 4G1x, 'Saturn' 4G3x, 'Astron' 4G5x and 'Sirius' 4G6x. (Note: The 4G4x series was actually named 'Neptune' in certain Asian and Eastern European countries)
