Mitsubishi 3B engine
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Mitsubishi 3B engine is a range of three cylinder engines from Mitsubishi Motors, introduced in 2003 in their Mitsubishi Colt supermini and 2006 Mitsubishi i kei car. It is also destined for the next generation of the Smart Fortwo.[1] Currently, the 3B10 is built for Mitsubishi by DaimlerChrysler-owned MDC Power in Germany, while the smaller 3B20 is built in Mitsubishi's own plant at Mizushima in Japan.
All engines developed within this family have DOHC, four valves per cylinder, and MIVEC variable valve timing.
