From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Mitchell Otis Page (born October 15, 1951 in Los Angeles, California), is a former professional baseball player who played in the Major Leagues as a designated hitter from 1977-1984. Page showed poise with a promising career ahead of him when he hit .307 with 21 home runs and 75 RBI's for the Oakland Athletics as a rookie. He finished second for 1977 American League Rookie of the Year, narrowly losing to Eddie Murray by a few votes. Page would never match his rookie season stats ever again, fading away from baseball stardom with a short and mediocre career.
