- "We do care about those subjects, caring for a subject is one thing, obsession with it to the point where there's hardly any room left to work on other projects is another. I argued that the Shi'a and Sunni guilds (which from what I've gathered here is inactive or something) are deviating in their occupation with ONLY the Battle of Kerbala and the like, and hence they don't even participate in broader Islamic topics. Regardless of how much importance the Shi'a place on the Battle of Kerbala, it shouldn't occupy 90% of Shi'a/Sunni thought so that nobody is around to work on the articles pertaining to salah, aqeedah or even comparative religon (like Bible and the Quran page) --xx-Mohammad Mufti-xx 19:49, 23 July 2006 (UTC)"

- Well, broader and general Islamic topics are treated in the general Islamic guild, i still dont understand why it is bothersome to you that the Shi'a guild is consentrated on Shi'a-specific topics that only Shi'a care about. Salat and Tawhid in the general sense are not expected to be dealt with in a Islamic denomination project since they are a comon demoniation in all Islamic denominations, of course is this project to be in 90% about Shi'a/Sunni (Karbal/Umar) and Shi'a-specific (Tabara/Nikah Mut'ah) consepts.--Striver 07:23, 25 July 2006 (UTC)

- And do tell how many people in the Shi'a and Sunni guilds don't end up in the Islamic guild for that reason alone? The topics aren't Shi'a specific, Kerbala isn't a Shi'a only event, Sunni historians have recounted it as well. I don't see how that or most of the other topics aren't relative to all Muslim groups? The fact that other groups don't obsess over certain things doesn't mean that they are now suddenly Shi'a-specific and only the Shi'a care about them, had that been the case you wouldn't find people like Zora editing so-called "Shi'a specific" articles, and neither would you see Itaqallah, Mustafa or me. And I didn't mention tawheed, it's generally completely agreed upon. Salah on the other hand is different, some Muslims pray with their hands in certain order (usually based on sectarian teaching), some during 'ashahadun-laillaha ill-Allah...) with the finger thing (I can't remember the name for when you're in that position) say for example that the finger should constantly be moved up and donw. Others say it doesn't matter during what time. And others say only on 'la-illaha-ill-Allah" do you raise the finger than you face it down again.

- Nikah mut'ah isn't Shia specific either, non-Shia's also speak of this historiclly and for them to not mention their own writings on the matter is simply leaving them out. They may not practice it anymore, but it's use has been recorded and it has been confirmed that it was done at least for a limited amount of time before a declaration came against it. The only part of that which would be "Shi'a specific" is the fact that Shi'a also practice it now, and perhaps some ayatollah's rulings on the matter.

- And regardless, it doesn't really matter anymore since the decision is made (for now, from what I read this deletion was brought up before), and there is no use to bickering over it now. --xx-Mohammad Mufti-xx 09:51, 25 July 2006 (UTC)
