[edit] Atlanta Braves

I am aware that Fox Sports recently bought Turner South, but the Braves games are still being aired on TS. I'm sure eventually it will be folded or combined with FSN programming, but does merely a change in ownership mean that it can't be included into the official TV stations for the Braves? I'm sure it was there when Turner South was completely owned and operated by TBS. I'm just saying that technically, Braves games are being televised on Turner South, for reference to fans living in the region.

I didn't revert the article, but I did e-mail Bonnie Gomes at the station, and she confirms their position in the New London market. Please leave it alone. I know it looks better for O&A to have another Top 20 market, but it's not being honest. Shwookie 19:15, 17 August 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading Image:Ipbiloxi.jpg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be a justification explaining why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. Sorry — I noticed that you had put the same link (of the Doctor Who interruption) on both the WGN and WTTW pages, and I meant to remove it from the WGN page. That's the one it wasn't directly relevant to. I made a mistake, and I apologize. However, you should also familiarize yourself with Wikipedia's policies on civility and assuming good faith. The tone of your comment on my talk page is unacceptable and completely disproportionate to my error. I haven't been able to find any source that places West Orange in the 11th congressional district. All of my sources show 8 and 10. See the League of Women Voters 2006 guide for the source I have mainly used, though checks elsewhere confirm 8 and 10 only. Rodney Frelinghuysen's web site lists municipalities in the 11th district and does not show West Orange. What source are you using to show that West Orange is currently in the 11th district?   • I saw your edit to the West Orange article on the removal of District 11, with the edit summary "Removed 11th District, I Called The Congressman From That District and the area in question was reverted back to Congressman Pascrell in the 8th in the past couple of years." While it is based purely on unsupported original research, I will choose to leave your edit unchanged. Thank's for confirming this and resolving my longstanding confusion as well. Alan, I am sorry but you are completely wrong, Llewellyn Park is not in an unincorporated area, it is within the borders of the Township of West Orange. West Orange DOES NOT have any unincorporated areas. For your general information I have friend and business associates who have live in Llewellyn Park probably more years then you've been alive, couple that to the fact that I've lived in West Orange my entire life (Almost 40 years) I have been involved in the Township of West Orange on a business and political basis for close to 25 years so I think I have a better prospective on the situation here then you do.   • All I'm saying is that Llewellyn Park is NOT incorporated as a municipality -- a borough, city, town, township or village -- on its own. I am not saying there is an unincorporated area within West Orange, as the Unincorporated area (New Jersey) article clearly states that every square inch of New Jersey is part of one of its 566 incorporated municipalities. Please read the article Unincorporated area (New Jersey), as I had requested when I made the previous correction, to see what is being specified. You can also take a look at the nearly 100 locations listed in Category:Unincorporated communities in New Jersey for a feel of the communities that have been labeled as unincorporated. Your personal residence in West Orange or the fact that you know people there doesn't change anything. I would hope that the District 11 confusion would help demonstrate that Wikipedia is a collaboration and that you don't own an article. There was also this November 2005 edit regarding the Corzine replacement issue. I am not always right; you are not always right. But I would hope that you give some serious consideration to reading the explanations for the changes to the article before you start making demands that I "don't change the article again" Alansohn 23:46, 20 November 2006 (UTC)
    • I understand what you are saying but my main concern here is that people will misinterpret your statement that Llewellyn Park is an unincorporated area as it not being part of the Township of West Orange and in a census-designated zone which it is not, In my humble opinion it is just better to keep it listed as part of the Township of West Orange that way there will be less confusion. You mentioned for two of the states you wrote about that there are no reciprocal commissions. I have never heard of any state having reciprocal commissions. Thus, to mention it for only two of the fifty states might make some people think the others do, when they most likely don't. [Moving discussion to one place --GA] In certain states such as Georgia and New York where you are a resident of another state but work in the adjacent state a reciprocal commission can be issued, So for example say you live in Northern New Jersey but work in Manhattan in New York City and part of your job is to notarize documents, You would submit an application for a Notary Public Commission with the respective Governor and Secretary of State providing both your home address in New Jersey and your work address in New York City and based on that information you can be given a reciprocal commission. A reciprocal license or commission is one that is issued on the basis of holding an equivalent commission in another state. It may require requesting the reciprocal commission, or it may be automatic. An example would be that a Vermont fishing license is automatically valid for fishing in the New York portion of Lake Champlain, and vice-versa. Allowing out-of-state residents to obtain a notary commission on the basis of working in the issuing state is not a reciprocal commission, in part because there is no requirement to be a notary in the state of residence, and in part because all other requirements must still be meet. --Gerry Ashton 22:56, 26 November 2006 (UTC)

It is great that you used reliable sources. Please add citations to the article showing where the information came from. Your 'correcting' the names at Fiji only halfway improved things, in that readers were then unable to click the name Josaia Voreqe Bainimarama and go to to the wikipedia entry, where variants about his name can be explained. No biggie, though...I adjusted the first instance in the first paragraph.

Me again (70.244.247.160, but you can call me "Frank" (c:) You are much more Wiki-proficient than I, but I'm keen on what is best or most convenient for readers. It is not ideal for mention of the coup leader to not be linked in the first paragraph (or any other paragraph!) because you feel its inclusion in the infobox is sufficient. And reverting to the name Frank Bainimarama instead of the more proper Josaia Voreqe "Frank" Bainimarama or Josaia Voreqe Bainimarama, raises questions as to your motive. I say we do what's best for the the casual reader as well as the ones who study Fiji in its entirety.
