For more than a decade, the Bangladesh music industry has been graced with many solo albums of reputed bands and various mixed albums produced by renowned record labels.

For years now, we havent been able to get out of the Artcell, Black or Cryptic Fate trinity. Every mixed album goes down the drain if it doesnt contain bands like ABC, Aurthohin, Reborn etc. However, we at Underground Incorporated think that its definately time for a change. I think many would disagree that the plan to promote of young bands have not been executed properly. Bands with "connections" seem to get more priority than bands with quality music. We're looking to change all that.

Bands who are really intersted in music would much rather have more people listen to their music and appreciating them, rather than having their name in some CD sleeve. Hence, we have decided to take promotion to the next level. In collaboration with another reputed company, Underground Incorporated have come up with a new scheme. We are providing an online mixed album deal to any band who has produced good music and want to promote themselves. Since the copyright laws have been established and albums can be bought online, we figured that the best way to distribute the albums is not by producing tons and tons of CDs, but rather using cyberspace. The songs of the bands in the album will be uploaded and users from all over the world can legally download the songs. The album will be distributed all over the world and weekly reviews will be posted from various web sites including our own.

People may not find much logic in the idea of free online distribution, but we find this process ideal. We are not having to bear any distribution/production costs, and along with that, the bands are getting a wider exposure. The bands will also have their profile uploaded along with the songs, so that the people who are listening to the songs can get to know the band better.

Another important point is that the selected bands WILL NOT HAVE TO INCUR ANY RECORDING COSTS.

Since this is the first step, the response is a big factor. If the response to the album is good, we will think about taking the album into production and finally releasing a CD. This is however a bit far fetched. Through this innovative idea, we want that quality should be preserved and talents should be exposed. We feel that the music industry has not used its resources to the fullest and we intend to change that. This step is huge and therefore we need all the support we can get. Nowadays people buy CD after CD and complain that they have wasted their money. We want to change all that. The distribution of the songs is more important than distribution and the sale of CDs.

Keeping all these facts in mind, we urge the bands who want to expose their music to come up and help us make this plan a success. Bands are therefore requested to contact the officials of Underground Incorporated.
