Misys is a software company, founded in the United Kingdom in 1979.

Misys is based in Evesham, Worcestershire and has several offices in London and around the world.

Its target markets are the banking, financial services and healthcare sectors.

In May 2006, Misys sold its financial services division, with the new holding company called Open International and the software house Open GI

Founded in 1979, Misys today is one of the largest and strongest vendors of industry-specific software products and solutions in the world. With around 6,000 employees serving customers in more than 120 countries, its clients are in the international banking and healthcare industries and include 49 of the world's top 50 banks. Sesame, a wholly owned subsidiary, provides support services to around 7,800 financial advisers in the UK.

Misys is not be confused with MISys, a manufacturing information system product founded in 1983. MISys is the product of Manufacturing Information Systems, Inc. of Woodstock Vermont. Manufacturing Information Systems has recently released a new product called Small Business Manufacturing, or SBM, designed to work with smaller accounting packages.
