Mistie Williams

Mistie Williams (born Mistie McCray Bass on December 2, 1983, in Janesville, Wisconsin) is a professional women's basketball player for the Houston Comets in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). Her father is Chubby Checker.

She graduated from George S. Parker High School in Janesville, in June of 2002. She then went on to Duke University, graduating in 2006.

During the 2006 WNBA Draft, Williams was originally selected by the Phoenix Mercury but was later traded to the Houston Comets. In her first season Williams played sparingly, averaging 4.1 minutes per game, behind all-stars Sheryl Swoopes, Tina Thompson and Dawn Staley.

In August 7, 2004, she married Kenny Williams, a former collegiate basketball player from University of North Texas.
