The original Route 76 was a short highway located entirely within Taney County. It was one of the original 1922 Missouri highways. Its eastern terminus was at Route 78 in Forsyth and its western terminus was at Route 3 in extreme northwestern Taney County. The road is now part of U.S. Highway 160.
