Route 44 is a decommissioned highway in Missouri. It was one of the original 1922 Missouri highways. Its eastern terminus was at Route 3, currently part of U.S. Highway 160 in southwestern Christian County. Its western terminus was at Route 1 (this section is now Route 59) in Anderson. To avoid duplication with Interstate 44, it became parts of other state highways. The section between US 160 and Galena is now part of Route 176, from Galena to Cassville it is Route 248, and from Cassville to Anderson it is Route 76.
