The 40th Miss World Pageant was held on November 8, 1990 in the Palladium Theatre, London, UK. The winner was Gina Marie Tolleson (Queen of Americas) from the United States. Runner up was Siobhna McClafferty (Queen of Europe) representing Ireland and third was Sharon Raquel Luengo Gonzalez from the Venezuela.
