The 33rd Miss World Pageant was held on November 17, 1983 in the Royal Albert Hall, London, UK. The winner was Sarah-Jane Hutt (Queen of Europe) from the United Kingdom. Runner up was Rocio Isabel Luna Florez (Queen of Americas) representing Colombia and third was Catia Silveira Pedrosa from the Brazil.
