Mishmi

The Mishmi of India is an ethnic tribe comprising of mainly three tribes: Idu Mishmi; Digaru (Taraon) Mishmi, and Miju Mishmi. The Idu Mishmi are primarily concentrated in the Upper Dibang Valley district and parts of the northern part of Lohit district (now Anjaw District) of Arunachal Pradesh in India which the Chinese refer to as the Autonomous council of Tibet. The Idu are also known as Yidu Lhoba in China. Many live in the Mainling and Lhunze counties of Tibet. Members of the Miju and Digaru district are concentrated throughout the Anjaw District and Lohit district.
