Misha Sedgwick, is an actress and producer. She grew up in San Diego, California and became involved with community theater in high school. At the age of 18, she moved to New York City. She made her New York stage debut in 2004 as Edie Sedgwick in the off-Broadway play Andy & Edie, about the relationship between Andy Warhol and Edie Sedgwick, Warhol's close companion and inspiration in 1965.[1][2] She has appeared in numerous independent films and plays and is a contributor at http://www.harpersmarket.com
In publicity materials for Andy & Edie, Misha was identified as the niece of Edie Sedgwick, and this identification persisted in the media for more than a year.[3][4] In February 2006, Edie's only living brother, Jonathan, and other members of Edie's family denied that Misha is a Sedgwick or Edie's niece.[5] Misha herself also denies she is related to the Sedgwicks.
