This is a Wikipedia user page.
This is not an encyclopedia article. If you find this page on any site other than Wikipedia, you are viewing a mirror site. Be aware that the page may be outdated and that the users who have contributed to this page may have no personal affiliation with any site other than Wikipedia itself. The original page is located at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:MiraLuka/Userboxes/Other.

This is a user page directory of userboxes spanning many different subjects, along with a few that I created. Please feel free to add other userboxes that match the theme of this directory.

[edit] Rules

All userboxes located here must obey WP:USER, WP:CIVIL, WP:COPY, WP:NPA, and all other applicable Wikipedia policy. Userboxes which violate policy will be removed and possibly taken to WP:MFD.

[edit] Instructions

The center column shows what the userbox looks like, the left hand column displays code you can use to place the userbox on your page, and the right hand column displays code you can use to add your page to a user category relating to the userbox.[1]

There are several ways that you can place one or more of these userboxes on your page:

  • The easiest method is to copy and paste the code displayed in the left hand column onto your user page. This will cause the userbox to display on your page. (This method can also be used for the user categories found in the right hand column.)
  • The next method is somewhat more complicated, but provides the benefit of allowing you to modify the userbox yourself.
    1. Go to the userbox's page by clicking on the link.
    2. Open the edit window for that page.
    3. Copy and paste the code you see to your page.
    4. Modify the code however you wish (or don't) and save the page.
    • A simpler method is to copy the code in the left hand column, then place subst: in front of the code, but inside the brackets. For example, {{User:MiraLuka/Userboxes/User male}} becomes {{subst:User:MiraLuka/Userboxes/User male}}. You must then save the page, and if you open the edit window again, you will find that the userbox code has been transferred to your page, allowing you to modify it as you will.

If you have any questions about how to use these userboxes, please do not hesitate to leave a note on the talk page. Enjoy!

  1. ^ A note on user categories: These categories are highly controversial, largely because some users use them for vote-stacking. They are included here as an option for those who wish to use them. Merely adding a userbox to a page will not cause the category to be added to your page.
