[edit] Claims of healing

The major claim in Norbekov's system is that a person is able to eliminate any eye disease through physical and mind exercises. Using the system properly, one is promised to achieve a decrease in eye defects by 0.25 diopters per day. Full recovery is claimed also in cases of glaucoma and cataract. The claims are only made by supporters of the system, without any controlled studies presented.

The exercises in Norbekov's books are also offered as a solution to removing scars from the skin completely. Major and most important part of the exercises is condition that he calls Octava. It can be achieved by fancying that you are really happy, without any problems, completely free.

[edit] Controversies

Norbekov presents himself with the title of Academician, but he is not listed as a member of the Russian Academy of Sciences. He is listed as a of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences (РАЕН). In his books, he mentions being a member of several other foreign academies. One of those organizations is the International Academy of Authors of Scientific Inventions. It is listed on the website of the European Academy of Natural Sciences [1]. Alongside are links to alternative institutions, claiming technologies to restore the health by the application of runes. The nature of the claims made on the websites of those scientific communities can be described as pseudoscience.

Norbekov has published a paper on the enzyme activity of acetylcholinesterase in erythrocytes. Only an excerpt of the paper is available on the website of RAEN. In his books, he is misguiding the reader that no previous research was done on the properties and activities of this enzyme.

In his book, "The experience of a fool, or the key to enlightenment", he also claims falsely that he is the first person to ever explore the biological activity of erythrocytes.
