Mirny (Russian: Ми́рный) is a town in the Sakha Republic, Russia, located 820 km west of Yakutsk on the Irelyakh River (Vilyuy's basin) at . Population: 39,981 (2002 Census); 38,793 (1989 Census). Founded in 1955 after discovering of a nearby laying diamond pipe by expedition of Youri Khabardin; town status since 1959.
The town is served by Mirny Airport.
There is a massive diamond pit in the town. It is 525 m deep and has a diameter of 1.25 km.
