Mirian II of Iberia

Mirian II (Mirvan) (92-20 BC), from the Parnavazian dynasty, was king of Caucasian Iberia in 32-23 BC.

He was only a 1-year old, when his father King Farnadjom was dethroned and killed, and his throne given to the Armenian prince Arshak. Little Mirian was carried to Parthia, there to be brought up at the court. Mirian was already 60 years old, when he returned to his country with a Parthian army and dethroned King Bartom, descendant of Arshak, and installed himself as king of Iberia in 32 BC.

He was succeeded as king of Iberia by his son Arshak II.
