Mirage (race car)

The Mirage were modified Ford GT40 race cars, winning e.g. the 1967 1000km Spa for Gulf Oil-J.W.A. John Wyer team (driven by Jacky Ickx and Dick Thompson). In the beginning the Mirage M1 used a 5.7 litre, BRM engine, then in 1969 a Cosworth engine was installed.
