Mira-Bhayandar is a city, in the district of Thane, in the western state of Maharashtra, in India, located around 20 kms to the north of Mumbai on the the Mumbai-Ahmedabad highway.

As of 2001 India censusGRIndia, Mira-Bhayandar had a population of 520,301. Males constitute 55% of the population and females 45%. Mira-Bhayandar has an average literacy rate of 78%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 81%, and female literacy is 74%. In Mira-Bhayandar, 13% of the population is under 6 years of age.
