[edit] House picture
Hi Mipago, glad you are contributing to Wikipedia. In regards to the picture the House of Justice picture is at the top because of two reasons. First, because it's a nice picture, but more importantly it has to do with want went on in the past in regards to the other Baha'i divisions; to mark this page as the Baha'i World Faith page, and not other Baha'i divisions, it was decided to have the House of Justice's picture at the top. Also, the Ring symbol, while important, is too difficult to explain in a summary way in the lead of the article. -- Jeff3000 20:50, 20 July 2006 (UTC)
- It doesn't have to be explained there. Well, I don't have to insist on my opinion. However your explanation makes me wonder. On the one hand there are about 7 million Bahais who seem to accept the House of Justice. On the other hand there a few beliefers who don't accept the House of Justice for some reasons. But the article about the Bahai Faith should explain the main beliefs of this religion disregarding all these divisions. As I said it's an article about a faith and not about an organisation. The smaller Baha'i divisions may be mentioned somewhere at the end of the article. --Mipago 21:05, 20 July 2006 (UTC)
- Yes, there are many more Baha'is who accept the Universal House of Justice, and the smaller divisions are mentioned briefly in the article. The smaller divisions, however, can and have been vocal, in the past and wanted to introduce their beliefs (which at times are quite contradictory to the majority Baha'i position, i.e. emphasis on descendency, etc). So it was just easier to distinguish the the article. You should bring about the idea of putting a new image at the top on the talk pages, and maybe a better one can be found, but I don't think the ringsymbol is the image that represents the Baha'i Faith. -- Jeff3000 21:11, 20 July 2006 (UTC)
- Thankyou! I'll think about it. As soon as I have an idea, I'll put it on the discussion page and explain my thoughts there. --Mipago 21:17, 20 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Need some help from a German friend
Michael, I see you are a contributor to the Baha'i articles on German Wikipedia. There's a loose end on Bahá'í divisions#Other disputes that only someone familiar can clear up. The statement with the {{citation needed}} tag needs attention. Can you provide a reference that confirms this? If there's a Der Spiegel article or something we might find something in English. Thanks. MARussellPESE 04:52, 3 December 2006 (UTC)
