[edit] Original research
Hi. I've removed statements that count as original research since the current published information is inconclusive.
- Parentage of Hestia Jones, Dedalus Diggle based on behavior - First of all, there is the subjective question of how a pure-blood would or would not behave. Second, a wizard child could easily be reared in a wizarding household (and have no exposure to Muggle culture) but still not be a pure-blood (for example, a child of Muggle-borns). If anything, it's a person's upbringing and not one's "blood" that determines his familiarity with Muggle mores. See Harry Potter, Dean Thomas, T.M. Riddle.
- Parentage of Edgar Bones based on his niece Susan Bones being a half-blood - We know from JKR's atatements on her official site that half-bloods have at least one non-magical grandparent. Hence, Edgar Bones and his siblings (Amelia and Susan's dad) may conceivably be Muggle-borns (see the Creevey brothers).
- House of Edgar Bones, and Frank & Alice Longbottom based on a relative's house - Consider the Patil twins and Sirius Black.
- "Frank was the grandson of Harfang Longbottom and Callidora Black, making him third cousin to fellow Order of the Phoenix members James Potter and Sirius Black." - Pure speculation at this point.
