[edit] Adding Citations

Citations need to be added to this page. Since I know exactly where this information came from online, Geoff Wade's translations and paper, I will add citations.

If there is some protocol that one should go through, just tell me (Jonfernquest 11:35, 4 August 2006 (UTC))

[edit] Firearms

"the Ming forces attacked the Bai-yi with firearms" <-- this phrase is misleading. the source writes of 'guns firing arrows'. i did not get to see the original script so i cannot say if it is a mistranslation or not but evidence gathered from the article makes it appear that this was not 'firearms' in the sense of what is generally conceived as a firearm. perhaps a sidenote explaining that the 'firearms' shot arrows would be a little less misleading. [edit] Removing an external link

Hi Jon, I'm Yun from the China History Forum (www.chinahistoryforum.com). I noticed my user name is listed in the External Links for this article, though the link doesn't work. I suspect it is there because the text in a post I made in China History Forum ( http://www.chinahistoryforum.com/index.php?showtopic=670&pid=4836111&st=0&#entry4836111 ) was copied and pasted in Wikipedia by someone. However, that person did not credit my professor Dr Geoff Wade as the original author of that text. I would like to thank you for adding citations to credit Dr Wade.

Since I am not the author of the text, I feel that my user name should not be included among the External Links, lest Wikipedia users be misled into thinking any of the information in this article came from me. Thus I am editing it out. I hope this is OK with you. Thanks!
