Minyip, Victoria

Minyip, is a small town, population approximately 500, located in the Wimmera Region of Victoria, Australia. Located 300km North West of Melbourne. It is in the Yarriambiack Shire local government area.

The town is known as the Heart of the Wheat belt. Dryland agriculture especially grain production and handling is one of the regions major industries.

Minyip is also known as Coopers Crossing, a fictional name given to it when it featured as the location for The Flying Doctors television series.
