[edit] Biography

To Minute Switch, finding balance in a world over-populated by extremes is the best way to write relevant poetry and captivating music. Now, with the release of their third album, this independent trio from Waterloo, Ontario has started to turn heads. Combining aggression with melody and passion, they weave together traditional punk influences with a positive outlook on life.

Minute Switch has toured extensively throughout their home province and into Manitoba, making many friends and acquiring a fan base along the way. Their past albums are in record stores, the single "Fields of Gold" has received radio play, and the new disc What We Can Not See promises to be a giant step forward for these ambitious artists.

The show, raw yet precise, is where Minute Switch is at its peak. Their high-energy performance pulls the audience in and doesn't let them go until the music stops. But perhaps what people remember most vividly about a Minute Switch set is the connection they make with their fans, realizing they share many of the same fears, hopes and visions.

Sadly, Minute Switch has called it quits after many years of being a band in order to accomplish other goals in their lives. I'd say they have done a lot as a band in the local scene around k-w, with 1 demo and 2 full length albums.

Minute Switch's last show was on April 29th in Elmira. It was quite a large turnout and definitely one of their best performances. They shared the stage with Tim Lucas, A Moments Embrace and Paris Burning/Small Time Heroes.
