Minomutchi (ミノムッチ?) are one of the 493 fictional species of Pokémon creatures from the multi-billion-dollar[1] Pokémon media franchise – a collection of video games, anime, manga, books, trading cards and other media, created by Satoshi Tajiri. Minomutchi is famous for being one of the Pokémon revealed before the Japanese release of Pokémon Diamond and Pearl. The purpose of Minomutchi in the games, anime and manga, as with all other Pokémon, is to battle both wild Pokémon, untamed creatures encountered while the player passes through various environments, and tamed Pokémon owned by Pokémon trainers. [edit] Biological Characteristics

The outer portion of its body is a straw raincoat. To protect itself from frigid winds, it attaches various objects around the circumference of its body to make the coat. In this respect, it is much like a bagworm. Minomutchi also has multiple evolutions, evolving according to its gender and current outer covering.

Minomutchi has three forms: one is covered with a coat of green leaves; another is covered with a coat of sand and rocks; and the last appears to be coated with pink building insulation.

[edit] In the video games

Minomutchi is notable for the three forms it may take. It changes form when it faints, determined by whether it is in a building, in a cave, or in grass. When fainting in grass, Minomutchi takes on the leaf-cloaked form. In a cave, it changes to the sand-cloaked form. When in a building, it becomes the pink, insulation-cloaked form. It will always keep its original Bug-type, regardless of its form; when it evolves, however, it will take on a second type depending on its gender and, if female, its current form.
