Minomadam (ミノマダム, Minomadamu^?) are one of the 493 fictional species of Pokémon creatures from the multi-billion-dollar^[1] Pokémon media franchise – a collection of video games, anime, manga, books, trading cards and other media, created by Satoshi Tajiri. Minomadam is famous for being one of the Pokémon revealed before the Japanese release of Pokémon Diamond and Pearl. The purpose of Minomadam in the games, anime and manga, as with all other Pokémon, is to battle both wild Pokémon, untamed creatures encountered while the player passes through various environments, and tamed Pokémon owned by Pokémon trainers. ^[2]

Minomadam's Japanese name comes from the English word "madam".

Minomadam is based on an adult female bagworm, which exhibits similar sexual dimorphism.

Minomadam is the evolved form of female Minomutchi. Male Minomutchi evolve into Garmeil instead.

Minomadam is a unique Pokémon, due to its multiple forms. The forms have different colors and different stats, as well as different secondary types. Minomadam's form is dependent upon the form of the Minomutchi from which it evolved.

The Grass form of Minomadam is cloaked in leaves. Its typing is Bug/Grass; this form possesses the highest special stats of the three Minomadam forms.

The Sand form of Minomadam is covered in sand and rocks. Its typing is Bug/Ground; this form possesses the highest physical stats of the three Minomadam forms.

The Steel form of Minomadam is coated in building insulation. Its typing is Bug/Steel; this form possesses the most well-rounded stats of the three Minomadam forms. Its physical stats are lower than those of the Sand form, yet higher than those of the Grass form; its special stats, likewise, are lower than those of the Grass form, yet higher than those of the Sand form.

Interesting, none of Minomadam's forms can learn any Bug-type attacks; they can learn Psychic attacks naturally, however, as well as learning a few different moves based on their forms; for example, Grass form Minomadam learns Leaf Storm, Sand form Minomadam learns Fissure, and Steel form Minomadam learns Iron Head.
