The Minnesota Lightning franchise is an expansion club in the W-League that will began play in 2006. The team will play in the Minneapolis-St. Paul Metropolitan Area. Home games were played at Elizabeth Lyle Robbie Stadium in Falcon Heights. The team finished the 2006 season with a record of 9 wins, 3 loses, 2 ties and 29 points
