Minnale is a 2001 Indian film, written and directed by Gautham Menon. It is a stylished romantic and musical comedy, in the Tamil language. It stars Reema Sen, R. Madhavan, Abbas, Vivek and Nagesh. Thr film's score and songs are composed by Harris Jeyaraj and are all time hits and all became chartbusters. It was the main reason for the film's stupendous success.

Rajesh and Samuel (Madhavan - Abbas) are college mates and bitter rivals. Samuel goes abroad for higher studies while Rajesh takes up a job. Rajesh, on a trip to Bangalore, comes across Reena and is smitten by her charm. To his pleasant surprise he sees her again in Chennai and tries to plan his moves to get closer to her. But there is a hitch. Reena is engaged to Rajiv from the U.S. But, as all is fair in love and war, Rajesh is persuaded by his friend Chockalingam (Vivek) and grandpa Subbuni (Nagesh) to impersonate Rajiv and enter Reena's life. Rajesh gets to spend five blissful days with Reema, who reciprocates his love till Rajiv appears on the scene and Reena discovers Rajesh's duplicity. Rajesh too gets a rude shock when he discovers that Rajiv is none other than his old college rival Samuel. How the matter is resolved forms the rest of the story.

- This was one of the most successful movies in 2001 and ran for 175 days.
- This movie grossed Rs.40 million on its first week of release and eventually grossed Rs.375 million.
- This was then remade in Hindi as Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein directed by Gautham Menon and starring Madhavan and Saif Ali Khan but unfortunately it was a flop.
- The film launched the career of Harris Jeyaraj who made his debut in this film who turned out to be one of the leading music composers.
- The director of Sillunu Oru Kaadhal, N. Krishna made a cameo appearance in the film as a lorry driver.
