Ministry of Health (Denmark)

The Ministry of Health (Danish: Sundhedsministeriet) was a former independent Danish ministry, created on 10 September 1987 by the Cabinet of Poul Schlüter II.
The ministry was (re-)merged with the Ministry of the Interior in november 2001, and the combined ministry renamed to the Ministry of the Interior and Health. The leader of the Ministry was the Health Minister.
The ministry has tasks like;
- Health (hospitals) from the Ministry of the Interior.
- Food control from the Environment Ministry (transferred to the Ministry of Food in 1996).
- Alcohol and narcotics from the Social Ministry.
- Health-related education from the Ministry of Education.
- The Greenland Ministry.
