Minister of Human Resources and Skills Development (Canada)

The Minister of Human Resources and Skills Development (French: Ministre des Ressources humaines et du Développement des compétences) of Canada is the member of the Cabinet of Canada responsible for Human Resources and Skills Development Canada, the federal department that oversees programs such as Employment Insurance and Canada Student Loans.
On February 6, 2006, Prime Minister Stephen Harper amalgamated the responsibilities of the Minister of Social Development into this portfolio, and the Minister is now styled Minister of Human Resources and Social Development.
The current Minister is Diane Finley.
