Mind game

The term mind games refers to passive aggressive behaviour used specifically to demoralize the subject while making the aggressor look superior.

This term is frequently used in connection with psychological tactics employed in high level sport. Football manager Sir Alex Ferguson is widely accepted to be a master of mind games though he met his match in Jose Mourinho and Arsène Wenger.[1]
