Minamiuwa District, Ehime

Minamiuwa (南宇和郡; -gun) is a district located in Ehime, on the island of Shikoku in Japan.

As of October 1, 2004 it contains a single conglomerated town, Ainan, which is the result of a merger of 5 smaller towns and villages, Johen, Misho, Nishiumi, Uchiumi, and Ipponmatsu.

There is only one Shikoku Pilgrimage temple in Minamiuwa, and it is Kanjizaiji.

As of 2003, the district has an estimated population of 28,458 and a density of 118.80 persons per km². The total area is 239.54 km².
