Minagawa Hiroteru
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Minagawa Hiroteru (皆川広照?) (1548-1628) was the successor of his brother, Minagawa Hirokatsu. Hiroteru was known as a minor Daimyo that at one time submitted to that of the Hōjō. During the year of 1590 however, Hiroteru left the Hōjō in favor of Toyotomi Hideyoshi. Due to this fact, Hiroteru was awarded with a 30,000-koku fief. At Tochigi during the year of 1603, Hiroteru received a fief in Shinano at Iiyama (40,000-koku). However, due to Hiroteru's association with the Okubo clan, he lost the 40,000. During the year of 1616 the Okubo declined in power and ended up becoming a disgrace.
