Print Is Dead was recorded in between sessions for yourcodenameis:milo's forthcoming second album and during a recent memorable trip to play shows in New Delhi, India. Everything was written, recorded, and mixed at their own studio under the arches of Byker Bridge and affectionately named Like A Cat, Like A Fox, after the original title for their debut album. The studio is part of the Ouseburn gorge which runs down to the River Tyne in the East End of Newcastle, a thriving musical area that is also home to the popular venue and rehearsal space called The Cluny, as well as galleries, studios, and home to a number of other rising local bands such as Kubichek!, The Motorettes, and The Sound Explosion, among others.
[edit] Second album
They will release their second full studio album, "They Came From The Sun", on 5th March 2007. The band has also set up their own General Recordings imprint through V2 and begun work on more recordings for Print Is Dead Volume II, in addition to a number of Eno-inspired ambient works which may one day be released.

[edit] Style and influences
Yourcodenameis:milo's style has been influenced by earlier post-hardcore/progressive bands, especially the likes of Cave In, Fugazi, and At the Drive-In. Themes such as space/sci-fi dominate their sound and elements, such as track titles and artwork, are often quirky and in-line with a very specific motif the band have created for themselves (The Designers Republic are responsible for the band's early artwork with Storm Thorgerson producing artwork from the Rapt. Dept. EP onwards).
While effects are used heavily, as with any post-hardcore band, overproduction is not evident and a raw sound is achieved on both albums. Critics of the album cite the production (often fuzzy and indistinguishable) as the reason the albums have not done well commercially; however, a common retort is that the production is an accurate representation of the band's live performances, and suits the band.
[edit] Live performances
Live performances by the band are probably best described as 'loud'. While on-stage performance is certainly not as wild as that of At the Drive-In, for instance, the characteristic post-hardcore sound of the band shines through. Performances are impressive, especially when the sets are bass-heavy and they have been known to play with two basses during songs, with Justin joining Ross on bass duties.
