The Milwaukee Ballet is a professional ballet company located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, United States. It was founded in 1969 by Roberta Boorse and held its first performance on April 24, 1970. It is currently ranked among the top twelve ballet companies in the United States. Michael Pink is the current artistic director.

The company's first performance took place at the School of Fine Arts at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Less than a year later the company began performing in Uihlein Hall at the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts, where it still performs today.

In the 1970s the Milwaukee Ballet opened a school and dance studio in what was the Joseph Schlitz Brewing Company Tivoli Palm Garden. Constructed in the late 1800s, Tivoli was an elegant beer garden and entertainment center built to complement the famous Schlitz Palm Garden in downtown Milwaukee. It was nearly destroyed by fire in 1978 and saw extensive repairs and restoration work. A vintage Schlitz Globe logo still decorates one of the doorways.

The company gives approximately 45 performances each year, and has an annual attendance of over 70,000 people. They have performed The Nutcracker annually since 1977.

The Milwaukee Ballet attempts to commission at least one world premiere each year.
