[edit] Queen sample in Delay (audio effect)
I am very concerned that this is not a fair use of the recording, as it's being used in Delay (audio effect) to comment on delay rather than on the song. We need to be very careful only to use freely-licensed recordings for this sort of exposition. I have removed the link from the Delay (audio effect) article. —ptk✰fgs 20:36, 18 August 2006 (UTC)e
[edit] Fair use vs 'free' image
Hi, I saw you replaced a free image with a fair use image on Brian May. I inserted the free picture again. According to policy Wikipedia:Fair use criteria # 1 we should always use a more free alternative if one is available. Cheers, Garion96 (talk) 12:34, 19 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Queen WikiProject
Many thanks for your efforts to resurrect the Queen WikiProject. Of course, I would like to help and take part in this project. Candyfloss 15:07, 20 August 2006 (UTC)
I don't understand why you delete (redirect) song articles before their content is moved to the album articles. Candyfloss 14:35, 27 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use images on templates
Re: [1]. Fair use images are not permitted on templates per terms of Wikipedia:Fair use criteria item #9. Image:Bohemian Rhapsody.png is tagged with such a template. It may be used on the Bohemian Rhapsody but it may not be used on {{Infobox Bohemian Rhapsody}}. Please do not re-add the image to the template. Seeing as the template is only used on Bohemian Rhapsody, it would be a better idea to copy the template code into the article itself, and then re-include the image. Following that, the template should be deleted. Templates are intended for multiple use, not single use. All the best, --Durin 21:12, 30 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Mary Austin Pic
Excellent find on that picture. But I think you might want to restore the 1974 pic and put your new one in the "Personal Life" section in place of the 1989 picture. I don't think the 85/89 pictures are that different, while the 1974 is unique from the other pictures in the article. *Sparkhead 15:34, 11 October 2006 (UTC)

- Your welcome.— miketm - Queen WikiProject - 03:59, 16 November 2006 (UTC)
- Just to be clear, I was talking about fixing the band link, not the erasure of most of the article. :) — *Spark* 04:18, 16 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Queen A Night At The Opera.png
This file may be deleted. |
Thanks for uploading Image:Queen A Night At The Opera.png. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. When you use a generic fair use tag such as {{fair use}} or {{fair use in|article name}}, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. —♦♦ SʘʘTHING(Я) 08:23, 13 December 2006 (UTC)
