[edit] Welcome to Wikipedia:WikiProject Novels

Hi thank you for joining the WikiProject. There is still plenty of scope for influencing things and making your contribution count. We are about establishing standards for Novel based articles and writing articles that meet our own and others high standards, and to improve Wikipedia's diet of articles on Fiction books, otherwise called Novels. If you have any questions, do ask. Please be very welcome. :: Kevinalewis : (Talk Page)/(Desk) 16:38, 8 April 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for the welcome! MikeBriggs 16:44, 8 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Novel infoboxes

It's a good thing to add infoboxes for the novels on the list, but Kevin requested that completed entries not be removed, but instead simply modified to indicate that their infoboxes have been created. This gives a chance for others in the project to catch errors, provide additional information, or simply admire your handiword firsthand. Modus Vivendi 20:53, 15 April 2006 (UTC)

Ok, but when did he say that? The page reads: "When you are done with a set, please delete what you have finished. DO NOT STRIKE OUT WHAT YOU FINISHED, rather just remove the links that are done. They are in groups of 25, try and go group by group!!"MikeBriggs 21:28, 15 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Philip K. Dick

Please feel free to create the sub-cat Films based on Philip K. Dick works; I just created the Agatha Christie one myself. I don't think it would cause any uproar. As for the war books, I think we would need a little more discussion before creating a cat for those, but the list sounds great. I presume you've seen List of war films? Sounds like your bag... Cheers! Her Pegship 21:00, 19 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] A hint about title caps

Hi again! When you create an article, the naming convention is: Do not capitalize second and subsequent words unless the title is a proper noun (such as a name) or is otherwise almost always capitalized (for example: John Wayne and Art Nouveau, but not Computer Game) (as mentioned at WP:NC). Just a heads up. Thanks, and thanks for taking on the war films. Her Pegship 17:19, 20 April 2006 (UTC)

Thanks, I've moved the war films list. MikeBriggs 18:52, 20 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Thanks!

I wanted to offer my thanks for the work you've been doing in categorizing novels; i just thought you deserved some recognition. Keep it up! -- Gizzakk 19:24, 20 April 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for your thanks! MikeBriggs 19:27, 20 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Millennium

It wasn't clear to me that the novel was originally a short story that had been expanded, so I trimmed the cats. Would you mind adding something to that effect when you put the cat back in? Thanks! Her Pegship 19:30, 25 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Ruth Card

The article is about Ruth, not his baseball cards. I don't think it adds anything to the article other than more kb's. Cheers Tecmobowl 21:09, 27 October 2006 (UTC)

Nice job on the baseball-reference wiki page for baseball card. The picture would do well there! :-) Tecmobowl 13:24, 28 October 2006 (UTC)

By the way, how much is that Ruth card worth?Techmobowls 20:01, 28 October 2006 (UTC)

If anyone else is interested (Techmobowls appears to have been blocked), the rookie card for Babe Ruth sold for $130,000 in April 2006. MikeBriggs 16:13, 30 October 2006 (UTC)
